It follows his courageous, real-life fight during the 1990s insurgency period in Punjab to investigate and expose the thousands of unidentifiable disappearances and illegal cremationscarried out by the police. Due to its highly sensitive political subject matter, the film faced intense, years-long scrutiny and censorship battles with Indian authorities before its eventual international rollout
